ELTHAM BASEMENT FIT OUT

MJ Rooney undertook the retrofit of a basement in Eltham, South East London, beneath a beautiful residential property. Adhering to the client's requirement for minimal disruption to the family's daily activities, we carried out all structural works externally. Our approach involved tunnelling from three external elevations to underpin the existing house and excavate the new basement, utilising external lightwells for access.

The interior refurbishment, guided by Outside the Box Architecture Ltd and Michael Barclay Partnership, included the creation of a utility area, office, and workshop, alongside other fit-out works such as new bathrooms and detailed decoration. This project exemplifies our capability to manage complex basement refurbishments while maintaining the integrity and functionality of the existing structure and ensuring a seamless integration of new spaces.
