BLACKHEATH SHEETPILED BASEMENT

MJ Rooney undertook the construction of a basement in Blackheath on a challenging site with restricted access. The excavation extended right to the property line, necessitating precise management of site logistics with vehicles passing very close by as well as the consideration of party walls. To address these challenges, MJ Rooney designed and implemented a robust earthwork support system, which was crucial in safely transferring loads and stabilising the excavation through temporary works support.

The reinforced concrete basement was meticulously constructed to provide a bright, spacious living area that reflects luxurious living. Designed in collaboration with William Atwell Associates, the basement incorporates sophisticated design elements and high-quality finishes. This project underscores MJ Rooney’s ability to handle complex basement constructions, combining structural integrity with aesthetic and functional excellence.
