Commercial Kensington Basement
New Concrete Lift Shaft for Multi-Storey Office.
MJ Rooney provided a structural alteration solution to this office in Kensington to demolish and rebuild sections of the structure and construct a new concrete lift shaft through the whole building. Our solution was to core drill hundreds of thousands of holes for reinforcement continuity and erect formwork tight between existing floors. Self-compacting concrete was poured to each level from the floor above and a brock was then used to open-up the internal lift-shaft void.
